Course Description
arne Golf Links is located in the remote, rugged area of the Mullet Peninsula in the northwest of County Mayo, Ireland. This area is famous for its wild and ancient landscapes.
Carne was the last course designed by the legendary Eddie Hackett and many say he saved his best work until last. The new 9 holes, an Ally McIntosh/Jim Engh design, based on the original vision and sketches of Eddie Hackett for the most dramatic part of the dunescape at Carne, is now integrated with the back nine holes of the original Hackett course, providing a new integrated course routing – “The Wild Atlantic Dunes” course. This course routing is being hailed by golf commentators as the finest example of natural links golf in the world. Rated at number 12 in Ireland, it is arguably the most spectacular links course in Ireland, raw and untamed, with increased drama as the holes weave their way through the awe inspiring corners of the dune system, and is arguably the biggest dunes course in the world. Carne offers traditional raw links golf at its very best in a truly unique and idyllic golfing location, an experience not to be missed.
The two course routings, Hackett and the Wild Atlantic Dunes, are each played on consecutive days, and therefore most golfers now stay for two days to experience both course routings. We also offer 27 holes in one day.

Golf Course Reservation/Usage Guideline
Please Review Before Your Round!
* Attach your name tag (English) on the golf bag prior to your round.
* Choice of your course is subject to change depending on the condition of the field.
* Depending on the golf course's operational policies and local conditions, your tee-off time may be delayed compared to your reserved time.
* Please arrive at the clubhouse at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of your golf round.
* Refunds and rescheduling are not possible if the round cannot proceed due to personal reasons.
* Golf course operating policies and on-site conditions may lead to changes in reserved tee times without prior notice, especially during the peak winter season at golf courses in Southeast Asia, where tee-off times may experience some delays. Refunds and cancellations due to this are not possible.
Rain and Natural Disasters Policy
* (ex, Southeast Asia) Golf courses usually hold rounds even in rainy season. Since it is a squall, in most cases, it continues to play after temporarily avoiding the rain. Therefore, advance cancellations and green fee refunds due to rain are not available as in Korea. Please be sure to follow the operation policy (ex, rain coupon, etc.) for each golf course after visiting the site.
